Description
DIMES8 is the capacity-oriented linear planning and control alternative to conventional process-oriented methods. It delivers times as planning outputs and does not require them as input variables. DIMES8 integrates all aspects of the construction process, such as construction time, labor, execution capacities, effectiveness, and costs. During the construction process, DIMES8 generates not only graphical and numerical, daily updated target-actual comparisons from recorded completion levels (f), but also automatic plan updates based on the complementary values W*(1-f).

Process-oriented methods of construction site management fail due to a multitude of inherent procedural problems because they are based on the following premises:
– Newton's Absoluteness of space and time
