Description
Specter Automation has developed a three-stage solution that (1) makes digital planning and costing data intuitively available for use on the construction site, (2) enables easy tracking of construction progress, and (3) learns from the collected data to refine and optimize future planning and execution processes. The web-based software is currently being tested and further developed in several paid pilot projects with a variety of construction companies.
Problem solving
Although detailed planning data is created in advance of construction projects, a lack of suitable software means that 96% of this data remains unused during construction. Specter enables model-based construction, particularly in structural work, by automatically linking planning and cost data, as well as any other data points, to the 3D model. This allows for data-driven weekly planning on the construction site, based on the principles of the Last Planner System. The Specter software solution thus saves the construction management team valuable time and helps keep the project within budget and on schedule.
