
Oliver Hans is Head of Design and StoForum at Sto SE & Co. KGaA. After completing his apprenticeship as a carpenter, he earned his architecture degree from Aachen University of Applied Sciences and worked for several years as an architect and engineer on a wide variety of projects of varying sizes. Following a Master of Science degree from the University of Wuppertal, he spent seven years at the Chair of Building Physics and Building Services Engineering, working on collaborative research projects focused on energy-efficient buildings and multi-criteria facade optimization. He also trained aspiring architects there as a tutor in building simulation.
In 2014, he moved to product management at Schüco International KG, where he was responsible for digital-physical façade products, including the award-winning Schüco Parametric System. Subsequently, he established the Futures Research department within innovation management. Oliver is a passionate advocate of interdisciplinary collaboration and is currently involved at Sto SE, focusing on the further development of the design strategy, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of innovation.
Oliver is one of the founding members of the German Association for Digital Construction. In 2025, he moved from the board of directors to the advisory board.
